A topographic survey is more than just a blueprint; it is the key to informed decision-making and sustainable development.

At Terratwin, we use the latest Leica equipment, providing you with an accurate representation of your site, integrating both manmade and natural features.  

The survey is very accurate and site-specific, showing the sites features in great detail. Plans will, as a minimum include buildings, roads, boundary occupation, service & drainage covers, trees, vegetation and much more besides.

Whether in 2D or 3D format, our detailed surveys empower architects, engineers, planners, and developers with unparalleled insights into their projects. 

Laser scanning can provide a more efficient option than the more traditional surveying methods due to the speed and the high levels of detail collected.

Utilising the latest Leica 3D Laser Scanning equipment, it's possible to record more data when it comes to capturing complex surfaces and hard to reach environments meaning a safer survey. Laser scanning  more often than not negates the health and safety risks and costs associated with working on sites such as road corridors, railways, working at heights and confined spaces with only a line sight, from a distance, required.

Once the data has been captured it will then be brought back into the office and taken through a robust, survey grade registration process. Individual scans are collated, geo-referenced and cleaned to produce a full 3D Point Cloud of the site. 

Using both conventional survey methods and 3D laser scanning techniques depending on complexity and size, Terratwin can provide a full range of measured building survey solutions from individual domestic properties to large commercial buildings. 

Producing floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, roof plans, elevations and cross sections.

We capture all visible and accessible surfaces of 'real world' assets of buildings and structures digitally to high definition and bring that asset to a screen with the power of various cloud and desktop software. 

We can then provide that digital capture of the asset or extract specific information to create drawings and models to aid design and planning. Our high accuracy Digital Twins can be used for development design , historic record and preservation, visualisation and inspection.
